BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) from Franklin Lakes participated in the Bond, Boost and Build program at Eva’s Village. The program helps corporations Bond with fellow employees, Boost their spirit of mission and sharing and Build a team through service to others.
Eva’s Village was founded in 1982 by Msgr. Vincent E. Puma in response to the homeless problem in his Paterson, NJ parish. But Msgr. Puma soon realized that a soup kitchen was not enough. With the generous support of thousands of donors and private and government grants, Eva’s Village has grown into one of the most comprehensive and respected anti-poverty non profit in New Jersey, with over a dozen important programs to help the poor and a four-star (maximum) rating by Charity Navigator, an independent non-profit monitor.
